Plans were unveiled by Razer back in January, at the technology trade show CES<\/a>. Then named Project Hazel<\/a>, the gaming experts had intentions to create a high-tech N95 mask in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The idea was to improve the ability to communicate between wearers. By that point, we were already getting pretty fed up of not being able to lip read, and constantly asking people to repeat themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project Hazel was cleverly designed to enable the reading of lips, through a transparent front panel. It also boasted detachable ventilators, high bacterial filtration, and built-in mic and amplification technology. Putting the company’s stamp on it, the Razer face mask also was said to feature RGB lighting. This was partially to indicate battery percentage, but also just because it does look pretty cool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
