Find out what this means here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hundreds of partnered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/\">Twitch<\/a> streamers have recently received DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown emails notifying them that their content has been identified as violating copyright. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, instead of allowing streamers to appeal this and file counterclaims, Twitch (owned by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/\">Amazon<\/a>) is deleting the content, after telling streamers it will simply give them warnings, and not a copyright strike or takedown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twitch<a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/\"> <\/a>has come under increasing pressure to partner with music platforms and enable music licensing to stop uninvited claims and strikes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Twitch<a href=\"https:\/\/www.twitch.tv\/\"> <\/a>spokesperson made the following statement from the official <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwitchSupport\/status\/1318583595641016323\">Twitch Support Twitter<\/a> page &#8211; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>We are incredibly proud of the essential service Twitch has become for so many artists and songwriters, especially during this challenging time. It is crucial that we protect the rights of songwriters, artists and other music industry partners.
