Known for his lullaby-esque take on lofi music, <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/1L0XN09X8A4etFCG6jDZ8T?si=Bad-ss6bRiy3aJfdMY-t8Q\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">j brij<\/a>. also works collaboratively in a 6-piece East coast grunge rap collective, <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/artist\/1x43h2SlYE3vbhbsSx42ns?si=GJORSp8rRMefDRDx-JFsag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CHERRYBACKGROUNDS\u00ae<\/a>. His new album <em>within my walls <\/em>drops on April 15th, and we can&#8217;t wait to hear more of what <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC7btiT7kH2VnNZ3fdd_1WDg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">j brij.<\/a> has to offer! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLUP1ExfeloOHxbkJNLmeLfHDtCSpQ8XQO\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RouteNote Licensing Spotlight<\/a> this week begins with a peaceful keyboard sound, slowly fading into audible view. Double time piano notes add pace to the soundscape while maintaining a wonderful sense of calm. The true staple of <a href=\"https:\/\/licensing.routenote.com\/collection\/lo-fi-music-for-streaming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lofi music,<\/a> filtered drums made to sound as if they&#8217;re playing from an old cassette, are produced excellently in this particular RouteNote Licensing Spotlight. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The low pass, vintage filter on the drums is slowly lifted, and a reverberated percussive slap introduces a wonderful wave of chillhop goodness. Pretty, plucked pianos set the stage across the stereo field, as a glockenspiel type synth sings out across it all. Fantastic foley percussion dances across the beat, giving this sleepy bop a new sense of mellow adventure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We know lofi music is a somewhat oversaturated genre these days. However, we have to shine the spotlight on j brij&#8217;s time for bed where it&#8217;s due!
