While this isn&#8217;t fresh off the presses, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/5EFAarfzNd5K3T8mR2QtTZ?si=c0cc6c952bbe46a4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Soul of Christmas<\/a><\/em> was released fairly recently in 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Christmas carol fans (or anyone with ears who has lived through a December before) will recognise the opening piano melody of this week&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/licensing.routenote.com\/collection\/synchedin-spotlight\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RouteNote Licensing Spotlight<\/a>. It is a reworked version of the main motif in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mykola_Leontovych\">Mykola Leontovych&#8217;<\/a>s <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SQadcm_dwEM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carol of the Bells<\/a><\/em>, a Ukrainian Christmas carol composed in 1914. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interestingly, the music for this composition is available in the public domain, however the lyrics are not &#8211; good thing this week&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/licensing.routenote.com\/collection\/synchedin-spotlight\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RouteNote Licensing Spotlight<\/a> is an instrumental! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The all encompassing sleigh bells accompany the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=SQadcm_dwEM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Carol of the Bells <\/a><\/em>melody remix. In true <a href=\"https:\/\/licensing.routenote.com\/artist\/justin-jet-zorbas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Justin Jet Zorbas <\/a>style, truly gorgeous strings, woodwinds and ambient tones slowly fade into the stereo field. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The piece ebbs and flows so profoundly that it&#8217;s hard not to simply sit back and let this peaceful Christmas soundtrack wash over you.
