dvd

"dvd" (dee-vee-dee) is the Dallas-based solo project of queer musician David Lunsford. He began writing music at the age of 16 as a way to cope with the hardships of being a closeted gay teenager in a hyper-religious community. As such, "dvd" creates music for the meek. Transforming his bedroom into a studio of creativity, he crafts delicate songs which incorporate pop melodies with biting lyricism. The formula for "dvd" is as simple as the name Lunsford chose for himself, but on the other side of the equation lies a style of songwriting that refuses to be put in a box. Lunsford continues to write and perform as "dvd" in Dallas and is currently recording his first album.
