Sometimes. The answer depends on the licence attached to the track and the date and conditions under which you downloaded it. RouteNote Licensing’s current FAQ says downloads made while a subscription is active remain usable after the subscription ends. Other services may use different rules, so never assume that cancelling a subscription has the same effect everywhere. Check RouteNote’s current FAQ and pricing page.

Perpetual use is not the same as active access

A licence may let you keep using an asset in projects already covered, while your account no longer has access to new downloads. The licence may also define who can use the asset, which platforms or project types are included, whether client work is allowed and whether new versions or campaigns need separate permission.

A “perpetual” term does not automatically mean every future use is permitted. Read the exact licence for the track and the plan that applied when it was downloaded.

Keep a download and licence log

Save the asset name, creator, source, download date, plan, licence ID, terms and project. If attribution was required, keep the exact text and a record of where it was placed. For client work, include the licence details in the handoff so the client can show the basis for use if needed.

Before cancelling, check whether your service limits the number of projects, channels, clients or platforms and whether those limits change after cancellation. Contact the provider if an important use is not clear.

Check again when the project changes

A video may later become an advertisement, move to a new channel or be reused in a product. Those changes can raise different questions from the original upload. Check the applicable terms and platform rules before reusing the track in a new context.
